Jane Muir, an attorney specializing in complex commercial litigation, business transactions, and general counsel, has been appointed as a Receiver in the Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida. As an "AV Preeminent" rated attorney by Martindale-Hubbell, she is licensed to practice in Florida, the United States District Courts for the Southern, Middle, and Northern Districts of Florida, as well as the United States Circuit Courts of Appeal for the Tenth and Eleventh Circuits. A fourth-generation Miami resident, Ms. Muir attended the Hotchkiss School before obtaining her degree in Political Science and Art History from the University of Florida. She continued her education at the University of Miami School of Law, where she was captain of the Mock Trial Team, received the John F. Evans Memorial Scholarship for excellence in Litigation Skills, and was admitted to the prestigious Order of Barristers for her outstanding performance in numerous intramural and interscholastic competitions.
